Together with her colleague Professor Olivier Dudas from Marseille, Professor Karin Baur will conduct research and work at the CIRM in Luminy for six months. The topic of her “Chaire Morlet” is “Combinatorial Representation Theory: Cluster algebras, surfaces, friezes, and knots.”
During the six-month program, they will organize two conferences and a research school, as well as two “Research in Residence” programs.
In addition, the chair holder Professor Baur may invite guests to Luminy for collaborative work and fill a postdoctoral position there.
As part of this program at CIRM, only two mathematicians are awarded a “Chaire Morlet” each year.
