Lore-Agnes Graduation Scholarship
The Lore-Agnes Graduation Scholarship is intended to support up to two students during the period in which they are working on their thesis, and who may benefit from measures promoting inclusion, gender equality, and anti-discrimination.
The financial support is intended to create more freedom for intensive engagement with mathematics.
The scholarship is funded through the decentralized gender equality funds of the Faculty of Mathematics.
Funding period: ongoing, for the duration of the thesis

Women in Mathematics
Women in Mathematics
Since 2023, our faculty has had a Women in Mathematics group.
Through regular meetings, it offers female students, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and professors at the Faculty of Mathematics the opportunity to network more closely.
Karrieretag
Insgesamt fast 50 Studierende und Doktorandinnen der Fakultät für Mathematik haben am 27. Juni 2025 den Karrieretag an unserer Fakultät besucht.
Nach einer kleinen Stärkung stellten Sarah Wendels und Dr. Maria Bertozzi in zwei kurzen Vorträgen ihren Weg von der Entscheidung für ein Mathematikstudium bis zur heutigen beruflichen Tätigkeit vor.
Dabei wurden zum Bespiel auch Beweggründe für und gegen eine Promotion angesprochen. Außerdem wurde deutlich wie vielfältig die möglichen Einsatzgebiete nach einem Mathematikstudium sind.
In einer abschließenden Podiumsdiskussion wurden Fragen zu Themen wie Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten, Homeoffice, Jobmessen, benötigte Programmierkenntnisse und vieles mehr vertieft diskutiert.
Wir bedanken uns bei den beiden Referentinnen und freuen uns darauf, weitere Absolventinnen unserer Fakultät im Rahmen eines Karrieretages vorstellen zu können.
