Master of Science Mathematics
The Master of Science is a scientific study program for an in-depth mathematical education. Disciplines from the fields of analysis, algebra and applied mathematics are studied intensively and consolidated. In the broadly diversified study program, students can form focal points and the connection to scientific research activities is established. Thus, they are introduced to current research activities of our faculty.
In addition to professional expertise, students learn how to work independently in a scientific manner. Thematically appropriate advanced seminars, special lectures and reading courses prepare students for their master's thesis, in which they demonstrate the ability to work on a mathematical problem independently and according to scientific principles. The MSc Mathematics lays the foundation for a successful career in research, industry or business.
