Pre-courses provided by the Faculty of Mathematics
The Faculty of Mathematics regularly offers preliminary courses for various target groups in the winter semester. These usually take place in September and October as a combination of lecture and exercises. Moodle courses are created for the individual preliminary courses before they begin. Interested students can register in advance and find further information about the pre-course schedule there.
The pre-courses are not only a bridge from school to university mathematics, but also give a realistic insight into the typical learning format of lectures and exercises and allow you to get to know your first fellow students and teachers. Student representatives and our faculty highly recommend that prospective students attend the appropriate pre-course.
In addition to the scheduled pre-course offerings, we recommend the time-independent online pre-courses StudiVEMINT and OMB+, which can be found in ORCA.nrw.
