Sophie Langer researches the functioning of neural networks

Sophie Langer has been Professor of Mathematical Statistics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum since April 2025 and is primarily concerned with the statistical theory of neural networks, one of the central methods for developing artificial intelligence.
