Brenda Yankam is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ruhr University Bochum, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She holds an M.Sc. in Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Diseases from the University of Buea, Cameroon, and a Ph.D. in Statistics (specializing in Design and Analysis of Experiments) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme.

Her research career spans both academic and applied contexts. She has worked as a Knowledge Management Officer with the Malaria Consortium in Buea, Cameroon; a Data Analyst with Assessment, Innovation, Strategy and Evaluation (AISE) Consulting in Belgium; and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services.
