The German Society for Insurance and Financial Mathematics and the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) awarded the GAUSS Prize for outstanding scientific work in insurance and financial mathematics in mid-May 2024. The prize is awarded for specialist papers that bridge the gap between scientific quality and high practical relevance. Prof. Dr. Axel Bücher and his former doctoral student Alexander Rosenstock from Ruhr University Bochum will receive the prize, which is endowed with 3,000 euros.
