Mrs Gachet conducts research in the field of algebraic geometry. Her work includes birational methods from Mori theory, the study of rational curves on positive curvature varieties, and understanding the positivity of various geometric objects, including (co-)tangent sheaves and their Chern classes.
With a focus on Fano and Calabi-Yau varieties, she has recently worked on conjectured connections between (birational) automorphism groups and various instances of positive cones.
