Helpdesk

Opening hours:
• Mon - Fri 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (during lecture period)
• Mon - Thu 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (during lecture-free period)
• During the first week of lectures every semester the helpdesk is closed!

The Helpdesk of the Service Center Mathematics and Application (SZMA) is a contact point for students of engineering and natural sciences who attend a mathematics lecture offered by the Faculty of Mathematics. If you have specific questions about the lecture material or the exercises, this is the right place. The helpdesk staff consists of correctors and exercise group leaders of all offered service courses. If you have general questions, you are welcome to drop by anytime during opening hours. For special questions it is recommended to make sure that a staff member of your event is on site. The office hours of all staff members can be found here.

You can now find lecture-independent learning aids and materials for exam preparation in the Moodle courses "Helpdesk"" und ""30 Minutes of Math".

For online exam preparation, there is now the "Math Helpdesk Training Course" in Moodle for many courses! Here you can test your own skills, as well as identify and correct potential deficits!

What we can do for you:
• Close mathematical knowledge gaps.
• Answer questions about the lecture material.
• Provide assistance with homework.

To successfully pass a mathematics course, regular attendance of lectures and exercises is indispensable. Even if you have the feeling that you don't understand anything, you should keep attending - you always take a few ideas and thoughts with you. In addition, this way you avoid being left behind at an early stage. After each lecture, you should take your time to study the new material. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have in the helpdesk.
You should also work on the weekly exercises on your own before we can clarify your questions and problems together. Please understand that we do not present you with ready-made solutions, but rather give you food for thought so that you can solve the exercises on your own.

What we expect from you:
• Regular attendance of lecture and tutorial.
• Independent revision of the lecture.
• Lecture notes and scripts should be brought along.
