I am professor for "Algebraic Combinatorics" at Ruhr-University Bochum since 2018 and coordinator of the DFG priority program Combinatorial Synergies

  • You can find the current activities of our working group under Activities and my scientific publications under Publications.
  • You can find my current courses under Teaching. If you are interested in writing your thesis with me, please contact me, details can be found under Theses.
  • My current and completed DFG projects including my Heisenberg project "Noncrossing phenomena in Algebra and Geometry" can be found here.
  • I collect combinatorial statistics at www.FindStat.org. The project is listed at swMath.
  • I publish code contributions for the open source computer algebra system SageMath.org and also participate there as a reviewer.
  • I have a Math Overflow profile, a Google Scholar page and personal rules for Latex. For the latter, suggestions and comments are welcome!
  • I am on the Executive Committee of the international conference series Formal Power Series and Algebraic Combinatorics and on the Editorial Board of the new open access journal Combinatorial Theory, founded in 2020.
  • In December 2021, I wrote a Nature News&Views article Artificial intelligence aids intuition in mathematical discovery on my understanding of Computer-aided research on discrete structures.
It was picked up here or here, for example.
